Start your Luxor day tour with convenient pickup from your hotel in Cairo or Giza in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. After a short drive, you’ll arrive at Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor. Once you land, your friendly guide will be waiting for you, holding a sign with your name, ready to begin your adventure. Your first stop in Luxor is the awe-inspiring Valley of the Kings, the original burial site of the famed boy king, Tutankhamun. Here, you’ll explore the magnificent tombs carved into the desert rock, richly decorated and filled with treasures intended for the afterlife of the pharaohs. You'll have the opportunity to visit three tombs, which are selected by the Egyptian government to preserve their condition amidst heavy tourist traffic. Please note that the specific tombs you will visit can vary, and access to King Tut's tomb requires an additional ticket. Next, your tour continues at Hatshepsut’s Temple in El Deir El Bahary. This remarkable structure, dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh, rises majestically from the desert plain in a series of terraces, seamlessly merging with the towering limestone cliffs. On your way back, stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two gigantic statues representing Amenhotep III, which stand facing the Nile. Then, visit Karnak Temple, the largest temple ever constructed. Walk along the Avenue of Sphinxes, marvel at the Hypostyle Hall with its 134 enormous columns, and admire the obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut and Thutmose III. Witness the Temple of Amun, adorned with stunning lotus and papyrus designs, immersing yourself in its grandeur. Finally, make your way to Luxor Temple, built by Amenhotep III in the 18th Dynasty and completed by Ramesses II during the 19th Dynasty. Dedicated to the great god Amun-Ra, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu, this temple represents the Theban triad. Enjoy a visit to the Obelisk of Ramesses II, located in front of the First Pylon.
